WHAT
The annual 5KforJK Walk is a family-friendly event that brings together individuals with Parkinson’s, their loved ones, and the broader community. It’s the signature fundraising event of Changing Parkinson’s, a nonprofit with a mission to help Parkinson’s patients live their best lives by lessening the fear of the disease through education, exercise, and community.

WHY IT MATTERS
What started as a walk for one incredible woman—Jessica Krauser—has become a movement for many.
Over the years, 5KforJK has raised over $350,000 to fund:
- Parkinson’s Kits created by Parkinson’s patients, for patients
- PDNextSteps Gym, a dedicated space for Parkinson’s-focused fitness
- The Secret Life of Parkinson’s podcast, amplifying voices and stories
Together, we are building a stronger, more hopeful future for everyone affected by Parkinson’s.
