In 2019 I was diagnosed with Young-onset Parkinson's at the age of 37. Then in 2021, my friends created a walk in my honor, the 5KforJK. That same year, together, we decided to turn that walk into a non-profit to bring awareness and education to a misrepresented and misunderstood community.

The 5KforJK, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, has a mission to improve the lives of those living with Parkinson's. Donations from last year allowed us to build and distribute over 700 Parkinson's kits, support multiple Parkinson's exercise classes, and contribute to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. The 5KforJK means so much to me because we are making a difference in how people with Parkinson's feel and how they live their lives today. 

To maintain and expand those programs, we need your support! The 5KforJK 4th annual walk/run will be held again at Liberty Middle School in Powell, OH  on Sunday, September 15, 2024.
